Later You Will Understand

Scripture

“Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation

Here Jesus is washing the disciples feet but Peter don’t want to let Jesus wash his feet because that task was done by the least important person in the room.

Peter could not understand how come their master, their rabi, would take that position.

Application

How many times we face situations that challenges us to change our perspectives on how that things should be done?

Or, we don’t understand why Jesus is moving things in our lives in certain ways.

I think Jesus constantly reminds us: “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

Letting Jesus move things the way he wants in our lives, even without understanding and following his lead is to walk by faith and not by sign.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for these Friday. Youth camp and kids camp is around the corner. Everyone is preparing and giving their best. I pray that even we don’t understand the way you want to move, the way you break paradigmas, let me have faith in your ways and in your plans, and just follow you wherever you are leading me. In your name I pray.
