スイスの小さいきれいな村ブリエンツで生まれ育ちました。毎年日本から沢山観光客 がブリエンツに来ました。しかし1995年にイギリスで妻の羊子に会うまではまったく 日本に関心がありませんでした。でも彼女と出会ったことで日本と日本の文化に興味 を持ちました。聖書学校を卒業してから1998年に羊子と結婚しました。ユースパス ターとして働きながら家族で日本の教会に仕える事にたいしてのビジョンが与えられ ました。コネクト赴任する以前はOMF宣教師として10年間、ニューホープ横浜で働 いていました。日本は温泉、すしもあり、愛すべき人たちのたくさんいる素晴らしい 国です。
Matt grew up in Brienz, a small and beautiful village in Switzerland which is visited by many Japanese tourists every year. But it was not until he met Yoko in Wales that he really got interested in Japan and its culture. After having finished his theological studies, Yoko and Matt got married in 1998. While working as a youth pastor in Switzerland their vision to serve the church in Japan together with their family kept growing. They enjoy meeting with friends and sharing the gospel in a creative way with the Japanese people. They also love going to the Onsen, eating Japanese food, and doing “Hanami” under the cherry blossoms.
