The Solution

Scripture

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.’”

Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation

  • he was resigned to his problem, he didn’t know hope
  • money is not the solution to our problems
  • God knows what we really need

Application

Sometimes we ask God for the wrong solutions. We think we know how to solve a circumstance so we ask God things based on that.

The lame beggar thought that the only way for him to live his life (he was lame from birth) was to beg. And he was living like that his whole life.

When he encountered the disciples he begged for money.

But what God gave him was far more precious than what he asked for. Much better.

Do we ask God to give and show us to solutions of our problems, or do we try to find our own solutions and ask God for that to happen?

Prayer

Gracious Father, thank you for your presence in my life that is far more preciso is than silver and gold. Speak to me during this day. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
