Reminders Everywhere We Look

‘Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, ‘

Genesis 9:12-14 NLT

God places things in our lives to remind us of His promises to us. God is saying to look around, and you will see things that are evidence that His promises are true and real.

Sometimes we need to be reminded of God’s promises to us. When I am worried about things, I like to go and take a walk outside. Often I will see things like Mt. Fuji, birds flying around, a sunrise, sunset, or even the vast sky of stars. All these things are set in place as reminders of God’s words. When we may struggle with whether God knows us or loves us, we can look at the stars he has hung in place, and each has a name. We can look to the sunrise to know His mercies are renewed. Hallelujah! We need God’s mercy every day!

Dear God Almighty. Thank you so much for your covenant with us! We are ever so grateful that you have made reminders in nature and about us to help us remember your promises. We do not deserve these blessings, so we are grateful for all you provide for us. Thank you, Jesus! We love you and ask of this in Your Precious Name, Jesus. Amen!
