“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.”

Observation

When we understand that God wants us to serve others, we get very excited. We walk so many extra miles in order to help those in need. This way, we are showing the love we have for God, but carrying for others.

But after a while, we loose the motivation. Maybe there is no reward for what we are doing. Maybe we faced so many challenges along the way.

However, the author of Hebrews letter tells us that we should have the same diligence that we had in the beginning to the end. That we don’t loose the motivation of helping others. The work and the heart that we are doing is always seen by God. And He, in His own time, rewards us.

Through faith and patience we inherit God’s promises to us.

Application

• Don’t loose sight of what is important.
• Don’t look around seeking for the reward of people.
• Wait patiently with faith the promises of God fulfilling in my life.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, don’t let my heart gets discouraged. Help me to keep pushing forward with the same heart and motivation from the beginning of my journey. Help me to look and to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
