Scripture
“Meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must never go out. Each morning the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it. He will then burn the fat of the peace offerings on it.” — Leviticus 6:12 NLT
Observation
We are to keep ourselves in constant communion with our Heavenly Father as the fire upon the Altar was never to go out. Offerings were made both day and night for the atonement of sins. It was the priests’ duty to keep the fire burning to remind them of their duty before God. In the same way, we are to keep in communion with God. Though we are not offering sacrifices for sins, for that was done and finished with the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus, we are to be before God in repentance and prayer.
Application
Let us continually be before God in prayer and communion. Let us raise up prayers for not only ourselves but for our family, friends, community, church, and those that the Holy Spirit brings to mind. Let us keep our minds, souls, actions, works, and hearts always before Him. Our relationship with God does not stop when we say,” Amen.” But it is a continual fire before Him. Keep the fire stoked!
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Son, Jesus. I am so grateful that we can come before You because of His sacrifice. Please forgive me for the times, which are quite a few, that I forgot that I am continually before You. Help me to be reminded of Your Presence daily. Thank you again that I can come before you and for desiring a relationship with me. Help me also to share the Gospel with the people that You love. Please work through whatever ways to allow others to come to know You. Your will be done here as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

観察
祭壇の火が消えることがなかったように、私たちは天の父との交わりを絶やさないようにしなければならない。供え物は、罪の贖いのために昼も夜も捧げられた。神の前での義務を思い起こさせるために、火を燃やし続けることが祭司の務めだった。同じように、私たちも神との交わりを保ち続けなければならない。私たちは罪のためにいけにえを捧げるわけではないが、それは神の子羊イエスのいけにえによって成し遂げられ、終わったことだからである。
適用
私たちは絶えず祈りと交わりのうちに神の前にいよう。自分のためだけでなく、家族のため、友人のため、地域社会のため、教会のため、聖霊が思い起こさせてくださる人々のために祈りを上げよう。私たちの心、魂、行動、働き、そして心をいつも神の前に保ちましょう。私たちと神との関係は、”アーメン “と言って終わりではありません。しかし、それは神の御前で絶え間なく燃え続ける火なのだ。火を燃やし続けましょう！
祈り
天の父なる神様、御子イエスを感謝します。イエスの犠牲のゆえに、私たちがあなたの前に出ることができることを心から感謝します。私があなたの前に絶えずいることを忘れていたことをお許しください。日々、あなたの臨在を思い起こすことができるように助けてください。ありがとうございます。
