Scripture:
’Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: Though I removed them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary to them for a while in the countries where they have gone.’ ‘
Ezekiel 11:16 ESV
Observation:
The discipline of God can feel harsh, even to the point that God may feel distant from me. But God does this not to punish but to correct and help keep us from making more detrimental mistakes.
Reading this verse assured me that God is still my sanctuary even when I am going through challenges and struggles. Even though I feel at a distance from God, He assures me that He sees me and is still near. But I need to remember The Lord is Holy, and sin cannot stand in His Presence. Perhaps there is unconfessed sin in my life that I need to repent of. God may be giving me the opportunity to do this.
God is listening and waiting for us to repent, and He will heal us. He is also still watching over us and is still our Heavenly Father, who loves and desires us to come back to Him.
Application:
Let me bow down in repentance. I know I have rebellious parts, regrets, and guilt. But God is assuring me that He is still my sanctuary. He still cares for me. He still watches over me. I need to draw close to Him in repentance and humility.
Prayer:
Holy are You, God Almighty! Worthy is your name, Jesus! I come before you in repentance of sins that I have committed against You. I seek your forgiveness and grace. Lord Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice upon the cross so that I can still approach God’s throne room in Your Name. I ask that you point out areas in my life where I need to repent. I know I can be stubborn and blind. Thank you for never giving up on me and still being my Sanctuary no matter where I am. I love You, and thank you! In Your Precious Name, Jesus. Amen.

観察：
神の懲らしめは厳しく感じられるかもしれない。しかし、神がこのようなことをされるのは、罰するためではなく、正し、私たちがこれ以上有害な過ちを犯さないようにするためなのだ。
この聖句を読んで、たとえ私が困難や葛藤の中にいるときでも、神は私の聖域であり続けてくださると確信した。たとえ私が神から距離を感じていても、神は私を見ていて、今も近くにいてくださることを保証してくださる。しかし、主は聖なる方であり、罪は主の御前に立つことができないことを忘れてはならない。もしかしたら、私の人生には悔い改めるべき告白されていない罪があるかもしれない。神はその機会を与えてくださっているのかもしれない。
神は耳を傾け、私たちが悔い改めるのを待っておられる。神はまた、今も私たちを見守っておられ、私たちを愛し、神のもとに戻ることを望んでおられる天の父なのだ。
適用しよう：
悔い改めてひれ伏させてください。自分に反抗的な部分や後悔、罪悪感があることは分かっている。しかし、神は今も私の聖所であることを保証してくださっている。今も私のことを気にかけていてくださる。今も私を見守っていてくださる。私は悔い改めと謙遜のうちに神に近づく必要がある。
祈る：
全能の神よ、あなたは聖なる方です！イエスの御名は尊い！私はあなたに対して犯した罪を悔い改め、あなたの前に現れます。あなたの赦しと恵みを求めます。主イエスよ、私が今もあなたの御名によって神の御座に近づくことができるように、あなたが十字架の犠牲となってくださったことを感謝します。私の人生で悔い改めるべき箇所を指摘してください。私は頑固で盲目であることを知っています。私を決して見捨てず、どこにいても私のサンクチュアリでいてくださることを感謝します。あなたを愛しています！あなたの尊い御名によって、イエス様。アーメン。
