Scripture:
‘Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me. ‘
Psalm 56:9 ESV
Observation:
I felt the Holy Spirit ask me, “What does it mean to you, ‘That God is for me’?” David writes this psalm saying he knew, he had confidence and faith in that God was for him. I stopped at that phrase and wondered and meditated on it. God is cheering for me, He is on my side when things or people are against me. He is never going to abandon me. He is NOT waiting to punish me nor criticize me. God is for me. So, if the Maker and Creator of everything and all things are under His control, is for me, why do I cower in fear, procrastinate, and waste precious time and resources? God desires that I go forth and live the life that He has created for me, and He will be rooting for me and also running this race alongside me. He is my ultimate coach and supporter!
Application:
If we actually know that God is for us, what can we step out in faith to do? What are we going to do with know this? For me personally, it is to trust in His promises more. I think I have been second-guessing things, my assignment, my abilities, and my competency wondering whether God really called me to this assignment. I have been too hard on myself and trying to control things, thinking things need to be perfect for Him to use them. But that lie is something I will let go of. But I hear His voice telling me that “He is with me and for me,” so keep trusting in His leading, coaching, and direction.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your word to me today. Thank you for letting me know that you are for me. I am who YOU say I am. I confess and repent of believing a lie about myself that I am unworthy to serve you where I am, but I ask for your grace and mercy. Please continue to guide me into your salvation and sanctify me so I am more like You! Thank you for where you have guided me in my life now. Thank you for calling me to be a precious child in your family, a husband, a dad, a pastor, a teacher, a friend, and a brother. Thank you for knowing all I go through and yet still caring for me. Thank you for Jesus, Your Son’s sacrifice upon the cross for our salvation. Thank you so much, God! I love you and ask of this in Your Name, Jesus. Amen!

応用編です：
もし、神様が私たちのためにいてくださることを実際に知ったら、私たちは何をするために信仰を持って踏み出すことができるでしょうか？このことを知って、私たちは何をするつもりでしょうか？私個人としては、神様の約束をもっと信頼することです。私はこれまで、自分の任務、自分の能力、自分の力量について、「本当に神様が私をこの任務に呼んだのだろうか」と二の足を踏んできたと思います。自分に厳しく、物事をコントロールしようとし、完璧でなければ神様が使ってくださらないと考えていました。しかし、その嘘はもう手放したいと思っています。でも、「神様は私と共にいて、私のためにいてくださる」という神様の声が聞こえるので、神様の導き、コーチング、指示に信頼し続けましょう。
