God among us

Scripture

“I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people” Leviticus 26:12 NIV

Observation

Once I heard a sermon where the preacher was illustrating us in heaven, and which Bible character we would like to meet there. There are so many cool and unimaginable stories that I would like to hear more details about. One of my favorites, Moses splitting the Red Sea in half for the people pass.

So, I would go to Moses and ask: “I read many times stories about you, and tell me, how was it like to open the Red Sea?”

But maybe Moses would look back to me, very excited and ask: “aren’t you from 21st century?

“Yes”.

“You tell me, how was it like for you to walk with God, every single minute of your life?”

I believe that often we treat the presence of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives too casually, or the time we spend with God as just another item to check off our schedule.

While in the past, there was a huge list of things that we needed to do and live for, so God’s presence would come down and speak to people, today, this constant access to the Father, it is only possible because of the work of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Application

Being able to freely come into God’s presence, any time of the day, any day of the week, through prayer, it is very special.

Not only in the mornings, or before eat, or before sleep.

A constant relationship with God, where He is walking among us in every step we give, is more exciting, more cool, more unimaginable, more awesome than any other story we can read.

To have His Spirit speaking to us personally, teaching and transforming us every single minute of our lives, is far more special.

Let’s enjoy Him!

Let’s listen to Him!

Let Him mold our lives.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, thank you for the constant access that I can come to you anytime and all the time. Thank you for walking with me. Help me to listen more of your guidance. Help me to always ask for your advice first. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
