Sink My Heart Deep into His Word

Scripture

Then he added, “Son of man, let all my words sink deep into your own heart. Listen to them carefully for yourself. Then go to your people in exile and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says!’ Do this wether they listen to you or not.” Ezekiel 3:10, 11 NLT

Observation

The voice fed Ezekiel with a scroll that tasted as sweet as honey.

He told Ezekiel that he should go give to the people his message. Although the message would be given very easily (not a foreign language, not a hard speech), the people who would receive would not listen, as they are hard-hearted and stubborn.

It is interesting to know that God was sending him to a people who already he said they would not listen. God sent him anyways, and he went anyways.

Application

  • sink my own heart into the word of God. Not because I need to give a message, but for my own heart’s sake.
  • speak the Word, wether people would listen or not.

It is not about how effect the strategies are in terms of delivery the message. The message was easy, was suppose to make everyone understand, but, their hearts weren’t ready. And still, God sent him.

So, in my eyes, if I am doing something that God asked me to do, but there is no results, no responses, no positive feedback, people aren’t listening, how will my heart feel?

Is this about my results to accomplished for the kingdom, or to do what God wants me to do, even thou there is no apparent reason to do it?

Prayer

LORD, when I try to understand the whys and hows, let me be reminded that I just need to follow your lead. Whatever you asked me to do, may I do joyfully, even thou there is no apparent or measurable results. May the fruits produce by this crop, be rooted in Jesus. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
