“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” Psalms 111:10 NIV
Observation
The fear of the Lord is displayed here as a reverential affection for God. Our reverence to God develops in us a deeper understanding of His attributes and character. This fear for our God translates into a wiling obedience to His will. And knowing who we are and knowing who God is, it’s the beginning of wisdom.
Application
My reverential love towards God and my understanding of Who God is must produce in my heart the desire of worship Him more. And this is what this Psalm is about, a Praise to God.
Prayer
Jesus, thank you for you gives us knowledge of who you are, and this produce in us a fear that comes from reverencing you. Let my worship be about who you are and what you have done for us. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
