Scripture
“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
Acts 20:24 (NIV)
Observation
In this verse, Paul speaks with unwavering determination and purpose. His life’s value lies not in earthly achievements or personal gains, but in fulfilling the mission assigned to him by Jesus: to testify to the good news of God’s grace. Paul sees his life as a race to be run with a clear goal, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and dedication to God’s calling.
Application
God challenged me to think about my own priorities. Reflecting on Paul’s dedication, I can evaluate my own sense of purpose. What tasks has God given me? Am I prioritizing them above all else, or am I distracted by less important pursuits? I aim to find fulfillment in carrying out God’s will and sharing His grace with others.
Prayer
Thank You for allowing us to be part of Your mission in this world. Help me to remain focused and forgive me when I become distracted or discouraged. Let my life be a reflection of Your grace, and may I find my worth in serving You. Grant me the perseverance to run this race with dedication and the courage to testify to Your goodness.
