Curiosity promoted an encounter

”He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.“ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Zacchaeus didn’t know Jesus but heard about Him.

When he heard that Jesus was passing nearby his curiosity about Jesus was so much that he climbed on a tree just to see Jesus.

From that crowd around Jesus, he comes to Zacchaeus to tell him that he would stay with him that day.

Jesus uses people’s curiosity to bring them close to Him, and then He calls them by name, stays with them, so that curiosity will be a door to change their hearts, and salvation comes to their lives by believing who Jesus is.

What are the ways we can reach people who are curious about Jesus, trying to see from far, even climbing trees to know “who is this Jesus people are talking about?”

Heavenly Father, thank you that you use every opportunity to bring us closer to Jesus. I pray we will do the same: use every opportunity to reach others to know who Jesus is. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
